Corona is a neighborhood in the Borough on Queens in New York City. Originally known as West Flushing, this multicultural community was named Corona in 1870. From the late 1940’s and through the 1960’s many legendary African American musicians, civil rights leaders and athletes lived in the area. The area now has a large Latino community.
